Dare Digital, an award winning digital media company, required development solutions to support a wide variety of UI applications.

My Role

I joined Dare in December 2006 initially to provide additional support for the Flora Heart Age Calculator (http://www.floraloveyourheart.ie, one of 17 regional love your heart sites), which was released in early February 2007. My role was primarily to ensure that the calculations of a user's heart age were correct and to optimize overall performance of the application. This included the introduction of OO principals, n-Unit testing and methods for bulk testing.

Following the release of the Flora sites I was responsible for the build and deployment of a number of sites for companies such as Sony Ericsson, Barclays and Vodafone. I also created a common web service to unify how UI developers work with middle tier developers and vice versa. Previously a full product life cycle would exist for all projects. The solution also included implementation of common libraries and introducing Cruise Control .Net for continuous integration.
